I thought perhaps I should start working on the Brio a bit more as the paint is almost done; should have it back tomorrow! I managed to get a couple of bits from the US such as the rear light. I started working on this yesterday and although I initially thought it was a chromed piece, it is in fact aluminium. So I got the bench polisher out again!

Something didn’t feel quite right so I dug out my old rear light and sure enough, they’re completely different. I’ve searched images on the internet and they all seem to have the one I’ve just bought, with the metal surround so where on Earth has my old one come from? I’ve search the part numbers from the lenses and did inadvertently discovered a really useful website (mainly for big singles) that had this rear light for sale on it http://www.italian-motorbikes.com/Pagina%20Inglese/2%20componenti_elettrici%20inglese.htm.

I’m going to have to wait until I get the rear light metal-work which holds it before I make a judgement call; I’m wondering whether my old light is simply an early one?
